  • analyse and interpret abstract ideas, expressing subtle shades of meaning in discussion and writing;

  • understand irony, cultural references, and idiomatic expressions in spoken and written French;

  • follow and actively contribute to academic and professional discussions;

  • critically examine opinions expressed in the media and respond appropriately;

  • prepare and deliver formal presentations on specialized topics with confidence;

  • write structured essays, reports, or analyses on complex themes such as identity, migration, or political participation;

  • compare cultural norms and values, and reflect on their own positioning;

  • write opinion pieces or letters to the editor responding to social or political developments;

  • evaluate the impact of scientific or technological developments on daily life;

  • analyse and compare artistic works, literature, or performances;

  • formulate and defend positions on controversial topics (bioethics, climate policy, freedom of expression, etc.);

  • write formal and informal correspondence with accuracy and appropriateness of register;

  • explain detailed administrative or professional procedures clearly;

  • synthesize and reinterpret information from various sources into coherent, original output;

  • adapt their tone, vocabulary, and style according to the communicative context (professional, academic, casual, etc.);

  • participate in debates using rhetorical strategies and structured arguments;

  • express certainty, doubt, emotion, and judgment using nuanced grammatical structures such as the subjunctive, conditional, and passive forms;

  • show mastery of indirect speech, connectors, and idiomatic turns of phrase;

  • reflect on their learning strategies and linguistic development;

  • produce creative writing or literary texts, demonstrating an awareness of genre and style;

  • interact with confidence in professional settings (job interviews, meetings, formal negotiations);

  • give and understand feedback and critique in both academic and workplace environments.

She is enjoying classes and very positive about learning. Her teacher is real professional and very encouraging. I recommend it highly for learning French.
