The B1 is the threshold level where learners are able to have longer conversations provided others are speaking slowly and with a clear pronunciation. Learners are able to give their opinion during a friendly conversation and able to convey his main idea.

The B2 level aims at making learners independent in French. They are able to defend his arguments and explain himself better during a discussion. They can give their point of view and can give pros and cons of other people's views. They can structure a logical argument, and can debate around cause, consequence and hypothetical situations. They can actively take part in informal discussions, giving clearly their point of view, and evaluate the possible choices and hypothesis.
